CraBucket LLC is a private investment group. We practice value-based investing with a focus on binary events that have a known date. Our approach is to identify situations where the market has mispriced an outcome ahead of a specific catalyst, build a position, and wait for the event to resolve.

The types of events we focus on include corporate spinoffs, mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcy emergences, FDA rulings, court decisions, and other regulatory actions with scheduled dates.

Value Investing Meets Event-Driven Catalysts

We start with value. Every position begins with a fundamental assessment of what an asset is worth versus what the market is charging. If the discount isn't there, we pass.

What distinguishes us is the requirement for a dated catalyst — a specific event on the calendar that we believe will force the gap between price and value to close. This gives our investments a built-in timeline rather than relying on the market to eventually come around.
